Following graduation from an all honors high school in New Jersey, I am now attending the New Jersey Institute of Technology through the College of Architecture and Design and the Albert Dorman Honors College. In my high school years I tutored in physics, mathematics, and Spanish. I was also a private tutor for local students in junior high mathematics. In addition to tutoring, I was also a teacher in a first grade class in my parish. To me, I believe the most critical aspect when learning is being able to fully understand the subject. I have extensive experience tutoring diverse groups of students, and I capitalize on that in working hard with my students to achieve overall comprehension. I always spend time with students in discussion of all of a scenario and stay clear of focusing so much on the final answer. I remain approachable and available to help, but encourage them to work through problems on their own to ensure confidence in their skills. I always present multiple ways to assess and dissect a problem so students have options that best fit their learning styles. My tutoring strengths are math and standardized test preparation. My hobbies and interests include architecture, photography, DIY projects, and reading.
